The Bank of England (BoE) regularly tests automatic banknote handling machines to ensure that they only accept genuine banknotes and reject counterfeits. Lincolnshire loudspeaker manufacturer, Logic Systems Pro Audio is set to launch its third new product range inside six months, at plasafocus 2018.
In a bid to ‘compete with the best products in the global marketplace’ the company’s team has been bolstered by the arrival of experienced systems specialist Ivor Green, who is overseeing the current development programme.
The first introduction was the Ci Series of cabinets, a dedicated installation range aimed at the theme bar and nightclub market. The products are the result of extensive consultation with installation contractors and consultants, in order to meet requirements around ease of installation and quality.
Next was the powerful V-Line range, launched last month and which features HPLS and MPLS models, both compact and lightweight. The new speakers have low frequency enclosures and are ideal for ‘flat floor’ audience coverage both indoors and outdoors.
The HPLS line source loudspeakers are designed for high power mid/high frequency applications and require separate low frequency loudspeakers to cover the frequency range 35-125Hz.
The MPLS range is designed both for medium power, full range applications, and, also, for higher power use with separate low frequency loudspeakers.
And the third new range will be launched at plasafocus in Leeds on May 1 and May 2.
These will be additions to the highly successful ML range, multi-functional cabinets offering flexibility in use and which are equally effective on front of house or monitor duty, making them ideal for theatre and church applications.

UK adventure attractions specialist Innovative Leisure has announced the opening of a brand new Sky Trail high ropes course and a Sky Tykes junior ropes course at Puxton Park near Bristol in the UK.
The new attractions made their debut on March 24th. and represent an investment by the park of over £300,000. Covering an area 25.7m x 14.7m and taking participants to a height of 6m, the Sky Trail course can be enjoyed by visitors 1m tall accompanied by an adult and 1.2m unaccompanied and is therefore ideal for the family market the venue caters to, providing the perfect shared experience. Capacity on the high ropes course is up to 25 people at any one time and approximately 50 per hour.
Featuring a wide variety of fun, challenging elements which test users both physically and mentally, the Puxton high ropes course also incorporates two elements which appear for the first time on a UK course – a rolling log and a wave tunnel. The former offers the opportunity to try and cross a ‘log’ successfully either while holding hand lines or without the aid of the lines to make it even more of a challenge, something that will help keep older children interested for longer, while the latter adds another great fun element to the course. When participants step onto the wave tunnel, it begins to wobble, providing a fun rather than technical challenge which has proved very popular on other installations. The Puxton high ropes course also features the walk the plan element, which sees guests walk out towards the park’s narrow gauge railway.
